Rich in heritage and tradition, Katnook is a James Halliday 5-star awarded winery located in Coonawarra in South Australia, one of Australia’s finest wine regions.

Established in 1867, Katnook Estate is one of the oldest existing wineries in Coonawarra with over 200 hectares of vineyards planted on the region’s famous terra rossa soil.

For over 35 years Katnook has crafted internationally acclaimed wines that are a true expression of the unique terroir of Coonawarra. These include the premium, iconic Limited Release Odyssey Cabernet Sauvignon and Prodigy Shiraz, flagship Katnook Estate range and contemporary Founder’s Block wines.

These wines epitomise Katnook’s philosophy of crafting wines from carefully selected parcels of fruit that offer great intensity of flavour, fine balance and integrity of regional and varietal character. Katnook wines are renowned for their excellent, deep colour, rich fruit, substantial palate structure and significant ageing and cellaring potential.

Katnook wines have garnered countless international and Australian awards including the prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy – twice. Currently three Katnook wines are listed in the prestigious Langton’s VI Classification of Australian wine.
